Hot take: Final Kuze fight is bad

I’m going to get killed for this but the final Kuze fight is my least favorite boss
When fighting him he will block all your attacks and then hit with attacks that you can’t interrupt and start dodging mid combo and then put you in a combo that you can’t escape
The only reason I beat him was because I started spamming body counter on brawler style
I don’t know if his fight is meant to be good with a specific style or with all the abilities unlocked
I had a way better time with Yakuza kiwami bosses than this mf

I liked it for exactly this reason. After doing the real estate side quest, you can just stomp everything without any effort at all, except this one fight that actually drained a decent bit of my health.

Those reasons you specified is why its GOOD, not bad. Unlike kiwami 1's arase who just runs around with his dual uzi's and his goons, then jingu with his grenades and miniboss guards who stand up for a phase 2

kuze's final boss is hard probably because storywise he's fighting for his pride, so he's going all out trying to beat kiryu, as to protect his pride.

You will? Do people elevate the last Kuze fight on some pedestal? I thought the 2nd fight in the sewer was the "major" fight in that rivalry...the two after that felt like afterthoughts.

You guys DO know the fight takes place in the streets, right? Switch to Beast mode and completely wreck him. They have multiple bicycles just laying around. I crushed him in under 20-seconds even on Extreme mode. I figure this would make the fight anticlimactic more than anything.

Yeah, never rush yakuza games, always balance side content with the main story, youll be better prepped for final bosses that way. Now... where you want to be sweating rubber bullets is when you fight Amon

I still have no idea what you're apologizing for. I beat Kuze with a bicycle in 10 seconds. The fight was a joke for me so I agree it didn't have the epic feel that was probably expected.

Or just get a Smoke/Zap gun and ruin every encounter in seconds with no prep needed. Could try that too.
