Hokuto no Ken // Fist of the North Star: Paradise Lost - any chances for a PC port?
I was wondering if there's a chance to get this game for PC...
Game's looking awesome and being a Hokuto no Ken fan since a kid, it's a pretty much must buy for me. If someone from SEGA happens to stumble on this post, please take it in consideration. I am sure many people will agree with me regarding this.

Right now I am not ready to invest in PS4 just to play few games, one of which is Hokuto no Ken.

If there is a god, yes.

I think it would actually make more sense to release that than to release another Yakuza game on PC. More people know Hokuto no Ken (if nothing else, they know the stupid memes) and it would likely sell a lot more than Yakuza.
Do I see it ever happening? Hell no.

Well.... I dunno if I can take it anymore and probably will pull the trigger on average PS4 Slim along Hokuto no Ken as Black Friday is near.
Hope still remains as SEGA were cool enough to import the game for a Western audience since most asked for it. Hokuto no Ken popularity (excluding the dank memes) is not to be underestimated.
Looking like buffed Mad Max and kicking ass like Bruce Lee while basically being a version of Jesus/Chuck Norris.
What's not to like?

I decided to buy it on ps4 becouse the future of yakuza series or fons lost paradise and judge eyes looks like it will take a long to come to pc.I brought yakuza 0 on pc but I wish I had it on ps4 so I could have the whole series,I just didn't know I will buy a ps4 after I got yakuza 0 and with the remasters of 3/4/5 coming it will take forever on pc to finish this series

It has a "Playstation console exclusive game" badge on it like all the other Yakuza games, which is marketing speak for "you can't get this on the Xbox one or the switch, but another device". That being said, unless Sega learns not to outsource the port to a small mobile developer, I'd much rather get it on PS4 to save myself the heartache of crashing randomly and missing visual effects, on top of getting it earlier.

On the same token, as unlikely as it is, it's more likely for Judge Eyes to get a simultaneous PS4/PC version considering it's an entirely new series that doesn't need to play catch up, despite sporadic references to the Yakuza time-line and taking place in Kamurocho.

Afaik it runs on same engine as Yakuza 6/Kiwami 2, so i dont think we will get it before those 2.

This is incorrect, it runs on the same engine as 5 / Ishin / 0 / Kiwami.

Per Nagoshi[gematsu.com] (in a Sega livestream, as translated at Gematsu), the team working on HgG included a lot of new (to the studio) people & the Dragon Engine & it's toolset were at that point still under development so it was quicker to train them on the older engine.

EDIT: in case you were replying to the last paragraph of the post above you, Judge Eyes *is* on the Dragon Engine. I was talking about the Fist of the North Star game.

Thanks for correcting me. But i still doubt, that it will come out sooner than 6 months from now.

Yakuza 0 runs like butter on my PC (sorry for the guys who have issues, I don't deny them, like others I don't have them). I have set it to run on 120 fps (144hz monitor here) for dat smoothy feel.
Good thing is that Hokuto no Ken runs on 60fps on PS4. Sadly cannot be said the same for Spider Man or GoW4, where 30fps is the norm/max.

That's the thing stopping me. I can get over Spider Man or GoW 4, however strange it may sound. But Hokuto no Ken is the thing that sells the system to me. If there's a conformation for a PC port, then I can delay the PS4 purchase even further as I'd rather run it on PC.

The PC version is an inevitability, it's under no obligation to stay exclusive forever. The question is a matter of whether you want to wait or not. Regarding the issues that 0 has, they range from crashing and hitches to a ton of missing visual effects, especially for weapons that otherwise give you no visual feedback. The cutscene lighting is also broken on PC.

Also, Sony owns the rights to the Spiderman games and they released the Spiderman VR game on Steam, and Marvel is the one who calls the shots. To say nothing of the Santa Monica co-developed Everyone's Gone to the Rapture, the Sony published Steam games, Sony preferring PC as a cross-play platform over Xbox or Switch, or PSNow. I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but I am saying that it might since it's not as ironclad as you imagine.

Knowing for sure whether this is eventually coming to PC yes/no would be great.
I can do without God of War, Last of Us 2, Detroit & all that.
I would buy them if they came to PC, sure, but I don't medically need them.
Would much rather fork dough on a PC upgrade than on a PS4.
Can't do without atatatatatata though, impossible.

"The PC version is an inevitability"
"I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but I am saying that it might"
err..
The two previous Hokuto no Ken games never came out on the PC (or like, the previous ten - but the two latest ones especially), so i'm not sure how it's "inevitable" that this one will. It's nice to have high hopes, but there's no need to sound like some r/pcmasterrace poster at the same time.

If you are talking about Hokuto Musou, few things:

1. They were made by Koei
2. They were never PS exclusives
3. Koei didn't bother and at this point I doubt, the game is really old, guess what however? Berserk Musou and latest Warrior games are on PC.
4. Japan is now opening the gates for their stuff, not everyone is keen about Hokuto no Ken or even knows about it.
5. SEGA are PC friendly so hope always remains.

I can buy PS4 if I want, but just for one game? I would love to play it, but I don't wanna deal with Sony.

People asked SEGA for western release and they got it.

If we keep it up, we can at least get some clarification. At least if it's not then I will be looking to buy a PS4.

Sure, but it's not "inevitable" that the game is coming to Steam or PC. Simply pointing that out.

Yes, sadly it's not. Maybe Sony are holding the game "hostage" with their "timed exclusives" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
