Other than that, I had a hard enough time beating the penultimate opponent (largely because I foolishly neglected to make a record of the setup I used to win the King of Speed race) & so can't help you on this.
Don't think your car build is crap just because he's super fast, and he is, after the first couple laps. He eventually slows down a bit midway.
By RNG you mean actually impossible. No car I've built is fast enough to catch him or stable enough to make that jump
Its RNG just like JCC

This car cannot beat Fighter straight up, boost is required. I boosted on the second lap just as the car was hitting the first long hill up after the jumps. This is the only reasonably safe spot to boost but only if you're not in the inner-most lane or you'll lose it on the lane changing bridge. Finished with a 36.999 second time.
It took me 4 tries to get it with this set up so it's still not 100% guaranteed win but better than 100% failure (20+ times losing).
I found that using High Speed Battery, the car could never survive the jumps on the first lap. Changing to Regular Battery slows the car enough that it can get through the jumps with little or no button mashing. Boost + Spike Tires makes up the difference in speed between Fighter's and my car.

You need to use boost. Used it on 3rd lap when you go up on first slope. You can use it but earlier but be careful.

My car ended up much faster than his so I didn’t need to boost.
I preemptively start mashing B then stop once I think I’m in the track, once the slow-mo ends I start smashing again, for any place I might lose control because I think it’s the most affective way since u fix the error before it becomes to big to fix.
I needed to do this on the first turn until the first angled turn, then each lap at the back end of the angled turn, and finally the last half of the bumps for the final lap for some reason.
Also, I’m pretty sure fast forwarding changes the physics a bit, so I didn’t ff till after i was thru the first angled turn, then I held the ff as forward as possible.

For my successful run, this set-up allowed me to survive the first difficult section (the zigzag -> rapid jumps) without entering the slow-mo thingee.
You also HAVE to use your boost. I used it on the 3rd lap right after that jump section and as i'm entering the uphill U-turn (somewhere in the middle of the uphill slant into the U-turn) so that the boost will run out as you re-enter the difficult section. The slow-mo phase did activate during the corner going down that first U-turn, but I had a full gauge, so whatever. from there, I had enough of a lead to win the race.
You will be behind the first two laps and then catch up after exiting the boost. I remember that while experimenting with set-ups, I had to get to a total track time of 38.50s. I don't recall the final track time when I beat pocket circuit fighter, but 38.50s consistently made me cross the finishline behind pocket circuit fighter at 2 car lengths. so play with your configuration.
With this setup, you have a weight of 152.5g with an acceleration of 42 with a speed of 51. I've played around and even having a speed of 45 will launch you during the jump section, while a speed lower than 51 isn't fast enough for the final U-turn before the finish line on each lap.
Confirming from what I read in previous posts, you HAVE to survive the first two laps. It seems that RNG will want to flip your car or some ♥♥♥♥, so you have to keep trying. If you don't survive those first two laps, then i just used that run to practice my boost timing on the third lap, which was how i was able to figure out how to time the boost so that it doesn't make me enter the difficult zigzag->jump section with the boost. If you enter the zigzag with boost, you'll fly off the track.
Why high capacity battery? because it slows down your car enough for the zigzag->jump section while having less weight on your car so you can power through the section with the last U-turn before the finish line. This way, you can justify less acceleration (because not too heavy of a car).
I'm not sure if the model car you use matters.. while i was experimenting with the set-up i found that my average 38.50s was consistent with all the models.. but i beat him using DRAG-ON.
Hope this helps, good luck!

I was trying to get some weight on there (for stability and to help lower jump height) without porking up so far that my acceleration got killed - that meant losing the Stabilizer and its 25.0g heft.
This build lags behind Fighter in Lap 1 until he hits the grass. By lap 2 I passed him, and he didn't catch up on laps 3 or 4 even with his better top speed.
No boost. Time was 36s and change.
Right after winning my car flew off the 1st jump on its victory lap. As with other races some lanes may be more prone to ejection than others - I didn't watch closely enough to figure out which was the "bad" lane to be most on guard against in turn 1. Maybe next time.
Thanx for this. It saved me from battle with vending machines for godspeedmotor 2. I boosted right after first jump things, got 2 qte events and won with 38 sec.
