The Japanese subtitles
I would like to know where to find the files that contain the japanese subtitles of the game's dialogue so that I can further my studies of Japanese. Please let me know.

Okay, after I do this, where do I go to find the files that have the subtitles. Will I need a third party program to decipher them?

Oh I thought you meant you just wanted the Japanese in game text. I believe they are stored in BIN, DAT, and MSG files. You'll need a hex editor. bin_j is for Japanese.

Thanks, I have located the bin files. I have found the in-game text for items and minigames, but I was looking for the subtitles of the cutscenes. Where abouts would I find them?

Yes, I found them, but I couldn't read what I found in the original kanji. Is there a way to allow my system to allow me to?

My guess would be to find out how the characters/text is encoded and try them out :/

Shot in the dark, because I don't actually know what's happening on your end, but for programs that do not support Unicode, I sometimes have to go into my Region settings and change my system locale to Japan, which lets the text display correctly. On Windows 10, it's buried in Settings > Time & Language > Region > Additional Settings > Region > Administrative tab > Change system locale.

No idea if that's useful in this case....

Hey, I was looking for the subs myself, but couldn't find anything. Just your post.
Do you remember where are located the dialogues for the cutscenes ?
The only thing I found was in wdr_par_c.
Thanks in advance.
