Curious about fighting styles
So I am playing through Chapter 2 and I just unlocked the Beast fighting style but what are the benefits of each style? I seem to be pretty good with the starting style and I can quite easily get through all the fights with it, so I don't understand why I would use the others.

Each are good for different think. Got 7 guys battering you? Use beast, especially with furniture
Rush is for one speedy boi
Brawler is an overall moveset

Rush is extremely good for 1v1 situations or smaller fights, as it's fast and evasive. Perfect for getting behind a guy and punching him the back, bosses in particular. It also has some really good counter heat actions and is great for dodging guns, which occur more frequently later in the game

Beast style is great for crowd control and tons of damage. If you're near a bike, motorcycle or any other large object, beast can wipe out whole groups in a single swoop

Different opponents require different styles of fight.

Depends largely on difficulty, too. If you're playing on Normal, then yeah, you can brute force your way through most fights with Brawler and not think twice about it.

Try doing that on Legendary and you'll just get beat down over and over. Styles are meant to be switched up and have purpose in almost all scenarios. Beast has fantastic crowd control, and once you have the Bear Hug, it's pretty much a one-shot stopper of super-armor enemies like Mr. Shakedown since it breaks right through that junk.

Rush is great for in-and-out moves and chipping down bosses in longer fights.

Brawler gets better the more you actually get better at the game and get the trickier timing down for a lot of its moves.

And I'll just say this: I didn't actually start to get better at the styles in general until I played Yakuza Kiwami, since there's a certain opponent in that game that gets tougher every time you beat him, and eventually reaches the point, even on Normal difficulty, that trying to just brute force him simply won't work because he'll just dodge and counter you too frequently. And he's also straight up the best tutorial the series has for forcing you to get better.
