Thanks for this, I tried this after 45 mins of trying and got 2 right off the bat.
Just to clarify - in Y0 I did that challenge pretty much the way OP intended to do, with backflipping all 3 carom shots.
In YK the game SUDDENLY decided to refuse this completely, sending the cue ball anywhere, but back.
So I just followed the advice above and it worked perfectly for Kiwami as well.

One thing to note if you HAVE to give a lot of room to hit the cue. If it's too close to the target ball, it won't back up even if you hit low on the cue ball. You need to give a decent amount of space to hit the ball or it doesn't work. This drove me nuts the first few times where the cue would never back up until I realized I just needed more space. Hope this helps.
