Any way to change gamepad controls to playstation.
So I have a ps3 and wanted to play this game with a Playstation controller, I don't have a ps4 right now so I used a SCP Driver to help it connect to my computer. Sadly it only detects it as xbox 360, I was wondering if there is anyway to change that to Playstation controls because its confusing me, or maybe just a better way for the controller to connect to my computer.

I think theres a mod you can install

SCP is probably the reason why the game isn't detecting your PS controller as a PS controller. The game has support for PS controllers. Steam has also support for PS controllers. You don't need any third party software. Unplug your controller. Uninstall any third party software/driver you have installed. (If that software came with a driver take a look at the device manager and uninstall that driver there, too)
Restart your computer, plugin your controller via USB. Let windows install the correct driver. Usually you don't have to do anything. Windows does this on its own.
Now go into Steam >Settings > controller > general Controller Settings and make sure that only Playstation Controller support is activated.

Now the game should show the correct buttons.

If windows for what ever reason won't install the correct driver on itself. You can always download "Playstation Now" from Sony and install that, it comes with the correct driver. Make sure that your controller is plugged in via USB while you install it.

The whole reason I got the driver was because the controller wouldn't detect any input I put into the controller, I do have a xbox 360 and xbox one controller but my computer wont detect those wire or bluetooth, I have to use some third party software or my computer wont do anything. So unless there is a better driver or mod I will continue playing with the SCP Driver.

Read the last paragraph of my post.
Also as you have Xbox controllers and probably used them on your pc, too, check in Steam if the settings are correct. I mentioned how to do that in my post, too.

No, you don't want to use their service. Just download the program to get the driver. That's it. The program is a free download.

I hope it works, but don't forget to uninstall any third party drivers first.
Also if you haven't done by now, check your controller settings in Steam.

The driver should be installed now and hence your controller should be recognised by Windows now. Maybe a restart of the system can help.
You can check in the device manager if the driver is installed. There should be something about PS3, DS3, Playstation -controller or something like that. I am not sure if it has it's own category like the Xbox Peripherals or if it is in the USB category.

Nope still doesn't work, but I did find a cord that fits my xbox one controller and that works on my computer so I might as well use that, thanks for all the help though.

Too bad it didn't work with the PS3 controller. It should work though, but that controller has always been more troublesome than the PS4 controller. Maybe there is some incompatibility with your PC's hardware or any software that is running on your OS.
At least you can play it with your Xbox controller now.
