Is real estate even worth it?
Currently in chapter 5, just finished the leisure king subplot after like three hours of grinding and unlocked the next 3 districts, which require frankly ludicrous amounts of cash. I want to get the legend style for Kiryu, but the grind is honestly just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow.

Yes I am aware of the Mr. Shakedown money exploit, and no, I can't consistently beat him with my current gear and upgrades.

I'm getting so tired of all these money sinks, I just want to get back into the main game (and back to playing Majima for that matter), but I'm told its a waste to do real estate later on as you'll have less time to play with the legend style. What do I do?

you can just make money and continue the story, once your done with that part, you can come back to real estate and recieve that money

i never even thought of it as grinding until the final area which honestly does take a lot of time to collect at level 5 acquisition rate, the other areas collect relatively super quickly, i was usually starting a collection, went to buy new establishments, by the time i was back from it i had more money waiting to be collected, repeat the process.
heck to liven things up you can probably grind mr shakedown when you're in the final area to kill off time

If you don't feel like doing it you can just completely skip it, the entire real estate thing is optional. There are different ways to make money and you don't even need to grind for money to get through the main story.

It depends on if you're a completionist I guess. It's just a nice diversion from the main story if you ever want to stay in the world a little longer. You can get more money from the shakedown method with kiryu.

If you want the fourth style yeah its worth it.
Wichtist Dec 2, 2020 @ 4:35pm
Its not essential to finish the main history and completing it might take you some time, also the fourth style isn't that great, it is a bit like the brawler style and doesn't have many heat moves, like 4 or so.
If you have a lot of completition points and you can unlock the perk for fastest revenue recovery I encourage you to work on the real estate game since once you acquire more properties is easier to buy more expensive ones and once you got it all maxed you can make a profit of 1,7 billion.

It is the final version of brawler it has heat moves from of the other styles, plus varies throws, combos and tiger drop.

It does, but tiger drop is a bit stronger plus it has other counters as well. I would say the most from all styles.

You don't need to get Rank S on every business to unlock Legend Style, you just have to beat all of the Kings.

I enjoyed doing the grind until I got to the last area where I just couldn't muster the patience to 100% S-Ranking every business. Since you can only upgrade once before needing to do a payout, the last area takes the longest to payout, and I had buildings that were far behind others because RGG decided you don't need more advanced helpers to improve businesses for certain types.

I only had 1 or 2 businesses left but that translates into spending another 2 or so hours making money that I don't really care to use anymore right now, as I already maxed out Legend as far as I can without doing the Collection Points grind and had almost maxed out everything else, feeling ready to just end the game already.

Is it worth it? Definitely to help you grind your stats up. Is Legend worth it? Maybe. It's fun to use, but I think Beast Mode is actually more broken and effective for most of the game. Otherwise Brawler gets you by when Beast Mode can't. However it's worth noting that because Legend Style just gives raw stats to ALL styles, even if you don't like using Legend Style you can further upgrade ones you do like, like Beast Mode.

Also if you have Kiwami 1, you can see Legend Style there from the start of the game (As it's just his older, original moveset), but it's slower and lacks some of the strength it has in 0.

Well all the styles get pretty broken, most are jerked in kiwami even the dragon style is useless for a good portion of the game and is even more of a grind.

it has no heat moves or actions for several chapters. If people think real estate is a grind majima everywhere is even worse.

Especially when you need specific spawns and there's RNG involved.

Money grinding might be quite a grind but it's consistent and there's no real RNG. If you want to hunt down Mr. Shakedown you have a mild case of RNG for his spawns, but there's methods make it easy to find him without spending a lot of time.
