Where did the trouble finder and the encounter finder go?

So i did "The Tax Lady" and the Miracle Johnson Sub-stories to get both of them... Only problem is that they are nowhere to be found and no I didn't sell them.

I've seen other people say that they did both of the sub-stories but didn't have the items so I wonder what's with that or if there's even a way to get them.

I did that, they are nowhere to be found.

I don't know if these still happen, but on release there was a plethora of inventory bugs related to saving, try reloading an earlier save

Well... Kinda late for that now I guess.

I "got" the items a couple months ago and didn't notice they were nowhere to be found. Didn't play for a while and came back to do the sub-stories and only now realised they are nowhere to be found.

Reloading an older save now would make me lose a lot of progress.
