Can you disable the glow around the character during combat
I was watching some combat gameplay and I don’t really like the glow around the character, can you disable it? If you can disable it will i have a disadvantage during combat?

Also.....without the Aura....how would you know what Stance the enemy is using so you can cancel their healing?

Asking to disable the glow in this game is like asking Mario to never wear his hat again. But to each their own.
It's more like asking Mario to never change colours regardless if he picked up a Fire Flower or not.
But hey, gotta keep the game realistic I guess... even though it has a strong case of the gameplay and story segregation trope where no one can truly be severely injured or die, no matter how brutal the finishing move is, unless it's done in a story cutscene.

you got a point on this one, but no you have to know in which stance you should be to prevent the boss from healing himself, not in which state boss is currently, and aside from the final boss of yakuza 0, I don't remember anyone having different heat auras in yakuza 0, or kiwami, there were bosses that had several different heat auras in yakuza 3 and 4 though.

The only problem with turning it off, is that it's used as a visual indicator of when you can use certain features.

But who knows. Maybe someone can find a way to mod it out or something.

I don't think you can disable it, if you tried to disable it, specially for enemies, you could probably be at a disadvantage, but I haven't seen 0's gameplay enough to assume things.

Do you not like it because one of the auras is pink and that's gay to you or something?

Can't imagine why else it would bother you. It's a videogame that doesn't try to be realistic.

ehhh some of its aspects try to be realistic. Bits and pieces.

Thank god for it trying to be realistic, or else I wouldn't have played it in the first place.

Yeah man, it's so realistic how one man can brutally destroy hundreds of men by himself and never even end up in the hospital. Even being able to take multiple gunshot wounds and never get medical treatment because eatting some Ramen or drinking Vitamin Water heals him right up.

Sure glad about that Realism.

Short answer is no, the HEAT aura has been there ever since the first game and it's not going away anytime soon.

Fights get so intense that both you and your enemies (just normal people mind you) actually have colorful aura showing off out of them is whaf the Yakuza combat is all about.

Lolz, yeah I know, at least I can dress my character in a yakuza esque black funeral suit and go guns blazing random thugs with an smg, shotgun, or pistol, so I can at least pretend that I am a yakuza like in the outrage movies, righttt?

you hardly use guns in the games. They are super ineffective for the most part.

this part makes the game fun. But the world they built tried to be realistic and represent aspects of japanese culture. also the first game at the very least tried to be realistic in how they represented the yakuza. as in what the yakuza would actually do. bits and pieces.

I know that, i was just saying what I actually do in those games, i was talking about yakuza 4 in specific in this sentence, as I would put on a black funeral suit on Kiryu, equip him with an SMG, and just go guns blazing the random thugs.

Probably because the writer for the plot of first to games was a japanese crime novelist, they hired a new writer for the main games series in yakuza 3.
