Depends what you liked about Sleeping Dogs. There aren't vehicles in this one, but the combat and detail is better in this.
I can't explain it well lol, but just watch this AngryJoe Review of Yakuza 0 really on point .

Correct on being story heavy. If reading isnt your thing, then this wont be the game for you. There is fun combat and LOTS of things to do. Im 16hrs in and have barely made a dent in the game, so you definitely get your money's worth
However, the main story involves a lot of organised crime and gang intrigue, which is similar to Sleeping Dogs. If you played SD for that, you'll get a lot of the same thing out of Yakuza.
PC port (read: K+M controls) - Sleeping Dogs pwns.
There are vehicles, but you only use them to bash your enemies faces in :D
Love the Beast style.
Yea, Beast style is great, but also confirmed my point. The closest you get to using a vehicle is the pocket racers =)
It has some cutscene and combat QTEs (not bad ones, not really fatal either, but punishing and they add flavor to the sections with great animations) and the rest of it plays like a minor investigative game littered with combat segments using light fighting game mechanics in a third person brawler setup.
The story is on par with Sleeding Dogs imo, full of badass characters and moments (final part of chapter 1 is excellent and it doesn't stop there) as well as a lot of random things to do, good humor (most of it on the side of a pretty serious story), lots of cutscenes and dialogue, and so on. Initially it'll feel pretty limited but it opens up quite a bit by Chapter 2 (Chapter 1 is like a really long intro).
