Witcher 3 and GTA V in the same sentence? REALLY? They are poles apart in gameplay.
That said, i played and enjoyed both Witcher 3 and GTA 5, but as far as pure entertainment goes, Yakuza 0, for me personally, tops them both :D
I like all three for utterly different reasons :)
Yes, i love how i had to teach that one chick how to be a dominatrix like 50 times over
Or that one time where i had a conversation with a chick through toilet graffiti
Or that one time when a girl just asks me to pretend to be her boyfriend outta nowhere
Or that one time that where you get a living chicken as a financial manager
Or that one time where you literally infiltrate a crazy cult and beat up their hippie leader
I can keep going, but you get the point. The substories are comical, entertaining and most of all not repetative.
All of them are the same.. read dialog for 15 minutes fight few dudes read dialog for 5 minutes.
Granted some of them are funny but it gets old fast..
And yet, Sidequests in RPG´s like the mentioned Witcher 3 or other RPG´s are the same too. Sure, the Writing in Witcher 3 still is unbeaten, but after all, you do the exact same thing as in Yakuza 0. You listen to a Guy´s Problem, you solve it, and you get a reward from him. It´s been that way since the first CRPG´s came crawling onto the PC. And there ain´t nothing gonna change much anymore, cause 1. The Audience is getting picky, so nothing the developers are doing will suffice, and 2. Mankind has nothing better to do than whine and complain it seems :D
such a weird thing to say, as if people could have taste
what a wacky thing to think
This boringza 0 was fun @ the beginning now its getting tedious repetitive and kinda childish.
I'm not going to be little you for thinking that the game is dull. it is a dialog heavy game, and it does cater to a specific kind of audience.
Also the advertising, really plays up the silly bits a lot more. I though this was goin to be like Sleeping Dogs from the tailers, thankfully I researched first, and was able to go into it knowing what to expect.
That might be your hang up here, you're expecting GTA, but you're getting somethng that has a stronger Story Element.
The way the dialog is implented in this game makes it so boring only main quests are lip synced and talked, most side quests are just a bunch of text like a broken witcher 1 game without any voice acting to it lol.
That never bothers me really. Lots of games don't have full voice overs for everything.
And yet you are here, READING posts in a Subforum of a Game that you don´t like....makes you think....
It's a great series, but just not everyone's cup of tea. It's a pity it didn't click with you, but thank you for giving it a chance.
