How to beat Ogita?

I cannot for the life of me beat him. He always just gets more points than me.

Just don't drop combos and use Fever Mode without fail and you'll beat him.

It's basically be really good at rythm games or don't bother with it. I played him over and over for an entire day and couldn't beat him. Decided to give up and move on, the game's too big with much more in it to sit their banging my head against a wall just to try and beat a minigame.

Which sounds simple and easy if you're really good at rythm games, however even on easy it's completely unforgiving to people that aren't. Everything has to be done so precisely and you're only given a split second to hit the notes. Not to mention that Ogita has this nasty habit of having his score just teleport a couple thousand ahead of yours whenever he needs it to. If i hit 2k, he instantly gets 4k, i get 4k, he instantly jumps to 6 or 7k.

Don't try to do more combos, go simply from one square to another.

Exactly what he said,I'm sh@tty as hell when it comes down to rythm games,but I just focused on not missing a single "tap" and I was able to get 2 fevers,and they are 1600 pts if done correctly,so...

@Tom good like dawg,don't give up,just take a break from that if you see that you're not going anywhere,get out IRL,clear your thoughts in anyway you feel good for you and then retry,at the end of the day it is just a game.

I ended up getting it not too long ago. Just got lucky and wasn't f u cking up any of my combos or disco fever.

Thanks but i'd rather not waste another day trying to do something that i know i'm incapable of which will only make me hate the game and likely rage uninstall. I'm just going to do other stuff in the game.

just chiming in to confirm that I beat him after realizing that you dont need to do a lot of crazy stuff. Just dont miss any notes. I got all fevers and didnt miss notes. Did it on easy. Just went directly to the next square and hit the note on time. I DID miss the first note but I did move about a bit for the next two. Seems like you just need the perfect run, not the fanceist.

Did it on easy. Its so satisfuying beating this guy.

I've danced with him enough to see a pattern. he randomly has 3 separate performances. 1 is very poorly, which he scores anywhere from 6000 to 7000, 2nd is when he scores 7000 to 8000, 3rd is when he scores 8500+. if you're really good, you can beat him probably 60% of the time by getting just over 7000, my highest score is 7560. You just have to keep playing him over and over again until he does poorly. it's best to always use the hardest difficulty because it gives you more combos. even though he does "poorly" on easy and normal modes, he does way too many steps even if he misses combos for you to catch up to him. I don't think it's impossible on normal, but Idk how you would do it on easy.

The higher-level AI in the dance game is a complete crapshoot that makes winning completely up to the RNG because either you get lucky and they do very poorly or get unlucky and they rack super-human scores.

There's no "method" other than getting insanely good at it or just trying over and over until the AI decides to have a terrible run.

Or do extra-step combos on easy difficulty, one thing CPU is not capable of.
