Beta branch launch bug patch – 10 August 2018
Hi all,

Thank you again for your patience as we work to fix the launch issues some of you have been experiencing.

We have launched a patch on a beta branch so that participation in the patch is strictly voluntary. If you are not experiencing any of the issues listed below, we recommend NOT downloading the patch.

From Yakuza 0 in your game library, right click to bring up Properties. On the Betas tab, type in the password below and then select the community_test_branch from the dropdown menu.

Branch name: community_test_branch
Password: DragonOfDojima

The fixes in this patch are as follows:

• Fix for crashes on boot and in cutscenes/gameplay.
• Fix for crash when using Staminans to gain consecutive Heat abilities during Chapter 10 Fight.
• Fix for crash in Pocket Circuit mini-game after selecting a rematch with an opponent.

Community feedback on the patch IN THIS THREAD is greatly appreciated. Please post your system specs if you continue to have issues.

Thanks,
SEGA Dev

Oh, we finally get the password for the beta branch. Neat.

Nice! Glad you guys are willing to let the community help test, will give it a try asap.

edit: Game launched fine first try, Pocket Circuit crash seems to be fixed too, haven't ran into the other issues so can't tell whether those are fixed or not.

Just for the record, the pulled patch 1 wouldn't run at all for me, and patch 0 would only run maybe 1 in 10 tries, this new patch ran first try though so it's looking good so far, will update if I run into anything.

I'm still having problems with Daytime Sotenbori. Everytime I give bag phone guy his battery I get a crash. Well, the game goes to a black screen and still seems to be running (I can hear the correct sounds), but I can't see anything.
Game now working after beta patch. Only audio bug still here and random freezes during cutscenes, but more rarely during gameplay.

I have installed the community_test_branch but the game is still crashing during cutscenes.
The screen just freezes, the audio continues and after about a minute the game closes itself.

I hope the issue gets fixed soon.
I have been waiting to play this game for a long time and can't wait to dive into this masterpiece.
