You really just want to find when Jennifer is doing well then pick her. exit out of the game and come back if the ticker is saying she's had a bad day. Also, the biggest trick is to not to "randomly" pick rock, paper or scissors, but to just stick to the first one that gets you a win. basically the AI on a given fighter likes a certain sign and will use that or another one 90% of the time. So it's just a matter of quickly finding out what their go-to sign is and exploiting it everytime.
and one last thing, the two worst fighters have a comeback move if you take too much off their life at any given time during the match. so you have to fight smart against them, and that means letting them beat you up a bit since they do poor amounts of damage. and always lose the button mashing game if you get a rainbow. otherwise you'll "win" the match and then they'll pop back up and strangle you, causing you to lose. It might even be better just to back out of the game if you see those two comeback fighters coming, since it's very difficult to win if you're a bruiser like Jennifer.
It honestly makes me wish this was a bethesda game because then someone would have cracked it open, read the code, found out the devs utterly pig ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the mini games and then rebuilt them all from the ground up.
I mean, I'm a bit baffled if I'm being honest. The only minigame I have problems with are Shogi and Mahjong, but that's more of a cultural divide than anything else. Mahjong is known to be complicated even for Japanese, let alone foreigners...
Great intel actually, i will go from here and try those, thanks!
Mahjong is actually very easy once you understand the game, it's that initial curve that takes absolutely forever. for example, on my last playthrough I got almost all of the completion points for Mahjong in my first game. It actually throws you a crap ton of awesome draws sometimes, while other times giving you nothing. If you can't recognize the 2, 3 and 3+ yaku hands, it's gonna be rough. I watched this video (which is 3+ hours long) just to begin to understand it. if you don't have that kind of patience, you just need to grab a copy of the all the hands and try to recognize what you have on your initial draw. you have to choose what to go for immediately and just stick to it unless you're getting a lot of other stuff. half flushes, seven pairs and two identical sequences are just thrown at you constantly. only steal if you can get all sets (three of a kind) as your melds or always steal if you can get a set of dragon tiles or your seat wind or round wind. getting 2 of the same dragon tiles (or seat/round wind) on hand start is almost always an easy win since the computer almost always tosses their honor tiles (dragons/wind). so steal the 3rd one every time. and constantly push the x button or whatever the extra menu key is on the keyboard to check for riichi.

the rest is pretty RNG heavy but you can somewhat manipulate the CPU, I won with Maria just using rock/scissors 3 times on a row, the CPU usually gets baited to selecting a few times in a row the counter move, so you can just go paper or whatever to counter it
this seems to work sometimes, other times the CPU will just ♥♥♥♥ you over and counter everything you do, you can get lucky with Maria's comeback ability though
^ that's more accurate imo
Nah, they definitely have their prefered movesets. They react differently to your picks, i'd assume there are multiple styles, some will pick paper AGAIN and AGAIN if they win with it, others won't. Things like that I was able to spot when given it a second chance on my second playthrough. I still think that mini-game is a bunch of hоrsе ♥♥♥♥, but there is a system to it :D
