Does starting a new game delete your old files?

so about five or six months ago I got 30 hours into Yakuza 0 and loved it but quit for no good reason. I'm on a new computer now and assuming my old saves even carried over via the cloud, will starting over erase them? I was thinking about startin g anew game to refresh my memory then going back to where I was

you should be fine as long you don't overwrite your current saves

You will keep your old files. Just be careful and don't overwrite anything like I did with my legend save x.x
