No sound after Sega logo

I've tried altering ini files and updating dx but still only hear the overly loud Sega intro then nothing else

i've finaly fixed it, its a directx problem, just download and install this https://www.microsoft.com/pt-br/download/details.aspx?id=35

How did you solve it? I tried to install it but it says that I already have the most recent version of DirectX and I don't know what to do

I don't remember too well what I did but I believe it was either my audio drivers that needed to be changed or it was incorrectly feeding audio into a different device such as a muted monitor. Hope this helps

Make sure the only enabled sound devices in the sound control panel are ones that you know work disable the rest for playback. For audio drivers find out what audio drivers you have because I had realtek audio I had to download drivers from their site directly.
