What's up with Sega arcade games?

I got the platinum on PS4 and loved the game so much tried to go for 100% on Steam, however it's pretty impossible and I was wondering if I misremembered but I looked it up on youtube

Couldn't find a steam version for fantasy zone and I'm too lazy to record my gameplay but as you can see from the Space Harrier gameplays, the PC version shoots much slower. It makes it a lot harder, Space Harrier I eventually completed but Fantasy Zone is impossible. It would be easier to beat Amon on Legend without leveling up

Don't quote me on this, but I think it might have to do with framerate related shenanigans. The people who ported the game launched it in a very "works on my machine" state and didn't thoroughly test it or implement certain features properly; for example the car chase has you using WASD to move the aiming reticle as opposed to using mouse aim. I wouldn't be surprised that the higher your FPS is above 60, the slower the firing becomes in space harrier. Good to know that pressing and holding the rapid fire button isn't supposed to shoot at a measly 2 shots per second.

Your welcome funny thing is I could do the other one that was messed up but Fantasy zone was a bit harder to pull off

Huh ps4 got 4 lives on space harrier pc only gets 2 talking about a nerf lol
