How do you save? No Autosaves? WTF?
I was playing for 90 minutes until I got to the point where I go to visit the loan shark after meeting the strange foreigner. I couldn't figure out how to save the game, where is the save option?

Then it turns out the game doesn't Autosave after certain misssions? WTF are you doing Sega? Do you even know how to make a game?

it seems this game is interesting but now I have to start over.

Hooray, someone else who can't pay attention to tutorials.

Save at phone booths.

There's a huge [S] on the mini-map
It stands for "Save"

You're like, complaining the game doesn't feature an auto-save. Just how lazy and casual can you seriously be?

You can't save, you get a password when you enter a church and must enter a password when you load the game.

Jesus christ don't play this game if you're not gonna read the text and dialogue.

Those people who don't know how to save are hilarious.

Wow, great community and by great, I mean ♥♥♥♥♥♥. My apologies for asking a question. It's still stupid that doesn't auto-save, this is a basic functionality of most games since the early 2000s, sorry for expecting basic features.

If you're having trouble following what the game is telling you this early, you may end up pretty lost later.

Just sayin.

GTA games had no auto saves until 4, and they were mid 2000s.

Not every game needs to follow established conventions. By doing the saving in this manner, you create a sense of relief whenever you see a phone booth as you know that means you can save. It doesn't work for every game, but for some games like Deadly Premonition, which actually uses this exact same mechanic down to using a phone, it works.

I read all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ text man, why you gotta be a jerk? I didn't see any save tutorials or I missed it aftering making the first call to Dojimo HQ in the phone booth, sorry for making a small mistake when I am just playing some vidya after work.

Speaking of which, why didn't it save there?

Bro I'm fine with that, Kingdom Come Deliverance, one of my favorite games, only lets you save while sleeping or drinking. However, I didn't miss that as I felt it was more clearly explained.

Going to a phone for plot isn't the same as going to a phone as a save point. Think of the game as a jrpg with beat em up combat. Thus the manual save system.

I'm completely down with that, like I said in my original post, I thought the game seems cool. I just missed the save tutorial apparently during the Dojimo HQ call.

GTA4 came out in 2008. That was literally a decade ago. A new generation of humans has been born since the games release.

Thanks for supporting my point that autosaves are a basic feature of modern games. It's nice too because I don't always have time anymore for a long gaming session
