I'll give that a go. They still need to fix it, though.
Use Steam Big Picture mode. Enable controller support.
Don't have any problems, apart from map button not on touchscreen pad, but on share button, but this is easily fixed in steam config.
The game is intended to run by showing button prompts that don’t work as shown on screen? What? Lol
Think you may be confused about what’s happening here.
Edit: I have the 'new' DS4, the one with the light bar showing up front.
Edit2: don't know what I did different, but I just booted it up and it worked. In any case, I checked the box to have full DS4 support in steam. Tried to play the game just to have the same problem. then i turned the game off again to post this comment, only to see that it works now.
So maybe try to start the game a couple times after adding DS4 support?
The only game that I've played (there is probably a small handful more) that supports the DS4 natively is FF14 on PC. Everything else requires a wrapper of sorts~ i've used steam controller configuration tool but a game i've played actually detects that I am using a sony controller and adjusts the icons despite being run through steams xinput wrapper.
