DualShock 4 gets full native support but its inputs are all wrong
The menu says press X for "Ok" and O for back, but it does the opposite. Square(which isn't even listed on the bottom)is actually "Ok" and X goes back. lol

Please fix this. I remember AC Syndicate had this same issue and Ubisoft never fixed it.

Go through Steam's built in compatability. That fixed it for me, still have the PS prompts in game.

I'll give that a go. They still need to fix it, though.

Use Steam Big Picture mode. Enable controller support.

With the Steam app open, click Steam in the top left, then Settings, go down to Controller and click that. Select General Controller Settings. Make sure it recognizes the controller is connected then check the box next to Playstation Configuration Support.

that's pretty neat. do I have to launch the game from big picture for it to work?

You shouldn't need to.

I think it's because they ported over the Asia version of the game, their O and X do opposite.

They don't need to fix it, its how game intended to run, with steam controller support on.
Don't have any problems, apart from map button not on touchscreen pad, but on share button, but this is easily fixed in steam config.

The game is intended to run by showing button prompts that don’t work as shown on screen? What? Lol

Think you may be confused about what’s happening here.

X and O buttons works as intended for me, there is something wrong on your side, i guess. Maybe its depending on Dualshock 4 model..

I have the same problem. The ingame prompt says "X" to confirm, but in reality I have to press "Square". "Circle" is prompted as cancel, but in reality I have to press "X". in game it is the same. Like the previous poster said, the buttons are switched up.

Edit: I have the 'new' DS4, the one with the light bar showing up front.

Edit2: don't know what I did different, but I just booted it up and it worked. In any case, I checked the box to have full DS4 support in steam. Tried to play the game just to have the same problem. then i turned the game off again to post this comment, only to see that it works now.

So maybe try to start the game a couple times after adding DS4 support?

Yeah, strange, also have new DS4, but even after restarting i don't have any problems with X and O buttons.

Most games will pick up the DS4 but since its not a native X input device the game has to be programmed to actually properly map and use the controller. Meaning it is not meant to work in that way.

The only game that I've played (there is probably a small handful more) that supports the DS4 natively is FF14 on PC. Everything else requires a wrapper of sorts~ i've used steam controller configuration tool but a game i've played actually detects that I am using a sony controller and adjusts the icons despite being run through steams xinput wrapper.
