Cabaret with keyboard and mouse?

Can someone tell me what are the controls for the cabaret minigame with Majima? I know a gamepad is recommended, but don't have one, and the game shows the buttons as a circle and cross etc. and I'm pressing random buttons to try and react to the requests from the tables, but nothing seems to happen.

I believe circle is always Q, triangle is right mouse button, square is left mouse button and cross is E. Might be different for cabaret club, but I doubt it.

Navigate with the usual buttons (WASD). E is select (so select a Hostess, then navigate to the table, and E again to sit her at the table). Q is back. Right click will deal with requests, but the table has to be highlighted (by navigating to it) first. Space bar is Fever Time.
