Piece of crap locked at 60 FPS
I have a AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB Ram, and an Nvida 1660 GTX with 6GB.

I've been through all of the settings and even with low settings, this will NOT go above 60 FPS

I don't even know how gaming became a hobby for you if you can't play a game at 60fps. Heck, I don't understand why people can't play games at 30fps...but 60? I hope you weren't very interested in this game in the first place because otherwise you'd be doing yourself a huge injustice.
well in fairness have you played at above 60fps? say 120 or 200?
it does make 60 look laggy in comparrison.
HOWEVER it wouldnt make me not play the game even though it isnt even capped lel.
but objection in the case of the 30fps that is terrible, unless it's capped.
but i wouldnt play a game at 30fps these days unplayable for me.
maybe a driving game. but an fps ? gotta be kidding, anything requiring fast movements you need 60 really to have a good experience, higher the fps the better action games become in reqards to timings which im sure you already know ^^o

Yakuza isn't an FPS and doesn't really require fast movements so I don't see why 60fps isn't sufficient for a game someone likes enough to spend money on.

Also, in my opinion 30fps is very playable. Some of the most widely acclaimed games have been 30fps locked. I don't really know how one can avoid playing a game in 30fps unless current gen games are the only ones they've played.

There is an in-game setting in "Video Settings" that lets you change the FPS cap, I think it's called Max Refresh or something similar. It's locked to 60 at the start

That's only for when vsync is on I think. I get 80+ with it set to 60 if I turn off vsync.

This is not related to the Discussion, why don't you try to help me out here?
Correcting incorrect answers is related to the discussion.

I triple checked all the settings, tried every combo of graphic settings, made sure vsync was disabled, etc. It's locked at 60 FPS. I read conflicting information about monitor refresh rate affecting the reported FPS in games. And yes my monitor's refresh rate is 60 but again some sources say FPS counters(software) will still report back the actual FPS the game is running regards of the monitor refresh rate. Either way thanks to everyone who responded regardless if they agreed or disagreed with me. No worries

If your monitors max is 60, then why do you even care about it going higher? You are not going to actully get any differnce due to that. hahahahhahaha

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is the most toxic forum I've EVER seen (and now it's my turn to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the toxic people here). First off, I too have the same problem with my laptop the fps was at 30 fps now it's capped at 60. This one dude said, "you simply failed to configure it". OH trust me I configured it right. And actually, I didn't need to configure crap on my desktop I just put everything on max settings and ran the game with high FPS. I guess that's what you consider configuring???????????????? Such a stupid ass and vague response when there is a more underlying problem.

Nonetheless, this is a new laptop I bought and it can Valorant above 250 fps and there was no need to "configure" anything just install and play. To add on, the uncapped frames play to the experience and immersion to a game. For example, the fights get buttery smooth, and who doesn't want to see that? Also, if I know my laptop can 100% run the game above 60fps isn't in my best interest to max the fps? As rhetorical as that can be, YES?!?!?!?! (clearly some people don't get that so I needed to point that out ♥♥♥♥♥)

Instead of you dumbasses being introverted virgins who have family issues, help people instead (it actually makes you a better person, hard to believe huh?}.

To help upssnowman if you do plan on getting the game again:

I improved my performance from 30 fps to 60fps by messing with my settings using this video. Yes, I know to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who's saying in their head his game is at 60fps, but these improvements may help this person in some way that it didn't for me OR it may help others too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZrnfWpENTo . I never know why Nvidia chooses these awfull default settings for gaming.

If anyone has more details on how to uncap more after 60 fps let me know and everyone else who isn't a toxic dickwad in here.

P.S.: I bet someone is saying, "well you're being toxic too. I'm only too toxic to the people actually deserve it."

No worries. Everyone has their own opinion which is fine. In 6 years of having steam this is the first and only time I've asked for a refund. FPS counter on other games clearly shows FPS greater than 60 EVEN with a 60hz monitor. Thanks for all the responses both positive and negative.
But this game works at more than 60 fps, I saw it myself. You simply failed to configure it.
