You cant play this offline?

I thought about buying this game but im hearing that you cant play it offline? is it the same with ps4 version?

Seems to work in offline mode for me.
Might have been the rumors going around before it was revealed to not have Denuvo.

Do you recommend this game? ive been hearing about it lately, it looks kinda like shenmue but hopefully not as boring.

Every so often you have to play online, else Denuvo will give you the finger. It's an issue that's been a round for a while :[
Saint's Row 3 or 4 has something like that. Game Refuses to launch till you are online

I have no idea where you heard this, but it works perfectly fine offline.

It is a ton of fun, I'm already 150+ hours in, and I still am looking for more (although I'm running out of things to do).

Not for PS4, Sony got that "You own the game with the CD" thing. So you can play any game even online if you own the CD (Unlike Xbone), ♥♥♥♥♥♥ they even offer Console Sharing for downloaded games, if you have your profile on another console.
Also it's not bad on PC, just hope they remove Denuvo before Kiwami releases on steam.

Guilty as charged, I'm italian. And yes, at the moment it's still present, and I don't understand why. It's not a huge deal, and I love my Yakuza 0 on PC, but I hope they fix that soon.

I doubt there are many gamers on the planet that can afford a gaming PC *and* this game *and* a PS4, yet are somehow unable to connect to the internet with their PC/Laptop just once. You don't need to be online while playing, just once for verification. That's it.

Yeah they probably will, it seems like a pretty good game and better than shenmue from what ive watched so far.

Its not about that, its if there is something wrong with the connection and you cant go online but want to play the game. You mean once every time you play or once when you buy the game?

Oops, wrong forum, got the two mixed up. Yes this one does have Denuvo but it helps to make sure all Windows updates are installed before going offline so they don't sneak up on you.

I'm unsure of the online activation details, but what he meant is that once you activate it online after downloading it from steam, you have a set amount of time where you can do everything (1 week, 1 month, 1 year, forever, this I don't know). So, say, you start the game once, play it, and the next day your connection doesn't work, you can still play it offline. It's not an always-online thing.
