Do I have to beat the Leisure King at Karaoke? I'm terrible at it.
So I'm at that point in the game in which I hold over 60% of the Businesses in the Leisure King's turf, and he has challenged me to a Karaoke Battle. Problem is, I'm absolutely terrible at the Karaoke Mini Game! The highest score I've ever gotten was 60 and I need more than 80 to win.

Do I have to beat the Leisure King at Karaoke or is it still possible to gain 100% of his turf even if I lose?

It's not required, you only lose 10% temporarily. You can even get 100% without getting all the properties.

You can lose in the challenges without much issue. You just have to grind the properties back up.
It is good that you do not NEED to get that good at the minigames.

On the other hand there is another king fight that is about getting a high score at outrun and that is, uh, pretty difficult.

IIRC someone wrote a pretty easy to follow guide on how to use CE to cheese that.

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad that I don't have to win at Karaoke to gain control over the Leisure King's turf.

Normally I'm pretty good at QTE's and other such timed button imputs, but unfortunately I'm using a new controller with a different button layout so my own muscle memory keeps screwing me over.

You could gain some memory muscle by playing the minigame solo, that's what I did when I switched to keyboard for the dancing challenges, since it's much more precise than my steam controller.

Gotta beat him at disco. Thankfully, you can play on any difficulty. I'd just say practice whatever song of your choosing. Either that or if you really don't feel like trying you could just cheat.

Well, that's not really cheesing, it's direct cheating so idk.
