That's a bummer then, I'm on PC and from the looks of it only Kiwami is going to be released on it, not Kiwami 2.
Well I guess I can just watch a let's play or something but thanks for the tip!
I don't play Yakuza Kiwami 2, so it's my take on it from a Yakuza 0 only player.
Now imagine this, throughout her life, Makoto has been on a streak of bad luck, with the only people helping her was Lee and Majima, later Kiryu and Tachibana (behind the scene), so naturally, she has a deep connection with these people. Then Lee's dead and Makoto hasn't spent much time with Kiryu, while it's implied that both Makoto and Majima has feelings for each other.
Now, with that situation in mind, what do you think would happen if Majima revealed himself as the guy who has been helping her all these time and came to say farewell to Makoto? Keep in mind that this is the Majima that saved her from near-death several time, the one that kept her safe and risked his life for her, the one who she talked heart-to-heart with, and the one who went on a mad rampage to the lion's den just to make her happy/fulfill her vengeance, AND that this is the Makoto that's naive and brave (stupid?) enough to go by herself, without any help, to go negotiate the killing of Dojima's favored liutenant to Dojima himself, and the Makoto who no longer has anyone to rely on but herself (or the doctors if you count them) so she would be looking for someone from her past, especially one that's really close to her.
Would she say "Okay, i guess we really can't be together, this is goodbye", and let Majima go and never look for him again, or would she disagree and not accept that they have to part way, then spent her life looking for Majima to be with him, especially now that she knows how he looks, who's his name is, and where to ask to find him?
Sure she won't be in the radar from just that one visit, but i have a strong feeling that Makoto is the kind of girl who would be looking for ways to be IN the radar just to look for Majima.
EDIT: Also on Majima being crazy, yes if you watch his dialogue in the ending, he says that he wants to life as free and as idiotic as those people who died before him, namely Lee, Nishitani, and Awano since he respected them for being much more of a man than he is and died as a great person. It's not that he's 'breaking' himself crazy, it's more like he's letting go of all the restraint he had before.
Hmm yeah that makes sense actually
Though I would guess that Makoto would have learned something from the journey and become more "realistic".
But the possibility is still there yeah.... poor Majima
Thanks!
Majima was always the "crazy dog" in all the other games up until that point.
Seeing this other side of him in his younger years was actually the big surprise.
Of course as a new player to the franchise you dont really know that if you start with 0.
Which is actually one of the reasons i actually recommend starting with Kiwami 1+2 and only then playing 0.
That way the gameplay itself is not such a big downgrade as going from 0 to Kiwami which is a lot more restricted then 0.
Just my personal preference of course.
The plot even with additions didn't age the best.
