How are you supposed to aim darts with keyboard/mouse?

I'm trying to get the completion point for darts (get ten hat tricks), but aiming with KB+M is seemingly more random than winning in the catfight arena.

Yes, "Real yakuza use a gamepad", sure. I've played through the entire game for over 300 hours with a keyboard and this is the only problem I've encountered.

The aiming is just totally inconsistent. I can aim my dart in the exact same place (the super accurate ones you can buy in the pawn shop) and when throwing they can go absolutely anywhere, and very rarely where I actually want it to go.

Anyone have any tips here? I need 8 more hat tricks and then I'm done but I've been slaving away at the darts for ages now and it just isn't happening.

You should shoot not with LMB, but with "K" instead. LMB just shoot randomly, K for aiming shot. Wait for blur went out (if drunk) and when hand is stable-give a shot. But problem is that you shot automatically with full strength and there is no way to adjust it. (If memory serves me right)
Buy more powerful darts in Ebisu pawn. If you have hard time to unlock them, I will tell you more.
P.S. Sorry, didn't notice that you owe some. Anyway, which super-accurate darts you use?

Thanks for the help. Using K does seem to be more consistent. I'm using the "Sniper Darts", I believe they're called. Also, do you have any tips on where Kiryu's hand should be before I throw? Do I want the dart to be exactly aiming at where I want it to land, or should I be a bit lower/higher?

I used a Custom Darts (Beat a 1 challenger thrice (without bailing out between games) and buy them in Ebisu Pawn). They are the most powerful once.
For aiming, you should wait for a moment when Kiryu holds his hand steadily. (But this is easily said then done).
If you are drunk, wait for blur went out and start to aim. If your hand go lower try to aim a little higher then your mark.
