They are there, when you die the first time, but if you die a second time before picking the dropped items from the first death back up, then they will all have despawned. I haven't had this happen yet, but I think that is the point with Koalas post. And I do agree that since it so hard to get your items back, then it would be nice to have them collected in a back of sorts like in 7dtd, and they should not despawn. If you die to a pack of raiders, they will most likely be camping your stuff, when you go back to get them...making it very hard to get it all before dying again or getting away. At least when I died the first time after 2.0, the raider that killed me was still camping my stuff... This needs some adjusting for sure.
Somwhere around 2.0 and 2.1 (literally) I died. On Lands Base (1st zone)
I traveled back over 50% to body and died again
I traveled back to the bridge where I died the 2nd time and died again
Knowing that, I still have only what was on my quick slots (nothing more)
I traveled back again, this time taking my sweet time...I survived. I got what was dropped on my 2nd and 3rd death on the Bridge, I then proceeded to find the place where I truly did die and collect belongings.
Perhaps what I cannot guarantee is the 100% of items dropped. Perhaps they are on a timer? I dont know.
Also I'm only 1 influence where there are 2 people commenting about losing the items LOL
But I just wanted to mention my 2cp
LandsBase
Version 2.0 or 2.01
3x Death
Collecting at least 80% items
to save, save, save, ugh, save, save, and save again.
Sure it breaks immersion to save all the time, but if you can find a way to die at the most inopportune time possible, then that is when you will die. I think it's a physics law or something.
Kiting horses and you backed into birds!! I am sorry but I find that hilarious
I do sympathise that you lost your stuff but I would love to have seen your face when those birds aggroed
Ogre
The amazing thing is the birds will path up to high ground also if it is possible and did not . Which raises the question do the birds and horses communicte. Horses "Nah just keep him busy", Birds "No problem". LOL
