Small Hammers

So... I'm playing on peaceful mode, because really, I just want to build. (Which requires massive gathering). I did my initial zone exploration before I started trying to build, just to get a feel of the game, and figure out -where- I wanted to build. Call it newbishness, or just being silly, but I didn't really study the crafting materials lists beforehand... and I put a lot of small hammers in the recycling bin, because.. I didn't know any better >.> I had better 'hammers', so why hold onto them? Little did I know I would need one to build a blacksmith... which is rather important to the overall building process. I've been through Amber Hills, Green Hills, and Corpse Harbor, since those are the general recommendations for finding them, and I can't find one.

Does anyone know if there is one in Kitsune? Or Dahm Bah? Or any other more 'out of the way' places you might find them in other zones. Right about now I'd give a vendor 10,000 gold just for a small hammer >.>

I am not sure if devs moved the location of this one though, as I haven't been in this area since the latest 2 updates. but this was located in one of the first houses you would find when you previously landed in Land Base instead of the current starter map, Nova.

Yeah, I wiped Nova hardcore since it's the start place. Thanks though! After almost an hour of running around Highrose, I finally found the one listed on the wiki! Figure I'll post for the next person who searches the discussions about it:

There are two small hammers in Nova, not even that hard to find. Make sure you have the latest game version.

Good you've found one. Looks like a dev already replied to you. I was finding odd you couldn't find any on Nova, I've visited the places a couple of times and I had the feeling I saw one at least in a building or something, but I never trust my memory :). Make sure to double check that map, it is natural to miss a couple of things at time, even when we think we fully wiped the areas :D

i had 2 small hammers at the beginning of the game, BUT - i recycled them early on not knowing i was going to need them...now..are there more small hammers anywhere? i cant make one since it takes a blacksmith to make it..and i need a small hammer to make a blacksmith

Yes, there should be a few more small hammers in the world.
The developer has mentioned those two at Nova, above I've mentioned two at Land Base.

Also at Land Base, if those weren't removed or moved, you should check the mansion at the island with some buildings in it (the one where there is a fountain), there may be a hammer inside of the mansion. Also, at end of the broken bridge that links the land to the islands before that island I've just mentioned - dive into the water there and you should find another hammer around https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/437297090092335110/544994211485712384/20190212221006_1.jpg

There should be another one in one of the settlements/points of interest at Amber Hills, cannot remember at which one specifically now though, as well with one in Greenhills - again, can't remember the location, but definitely try finding the points of interest of these maps I've mentioned.

My bad, I've mentioned Corpse Harbor in my comment above, but just corrected it - the screenshots I got all the way up are both from Land Base. The one in Corpse Harbor is the sledgehammer, behind that trader indeed.

i started a peaceful session- and i only found 2 small hammer- until i went to the Den and found another on a shelve inside of a house...now i got 2 games going - peaceful and regular...perhaps not a bad idea since i can explore in peaceful and then go get it in the regular session. thanks for all the help

I also like the peaceful setting for relaxing exploration :)

It is indeed a good idea to have a peaceful mode saved game for exploration and to look for something specific while not risking your life and then get back to survival mode.
