How to fill empty plastic water bottles or use water filter?

hey! I just started playing yesterday, haven't actuall left the base island yet (lol) however I can't figure out how or where to refill empty water bottles? not sure what to do as I'm out of drinks now ._.;;

Have a look around the town on the starter island, there's a tap (purified water, +50) and a fountain (...drinking water?, +40)

There's also a tap at Corpse Harbor, near the end of the town (opposite side of the food vendor?) that gives purified water, as long as you have the bottles.

there is also a water pump you can craft with a filter and some scrap at the workshop

How do you fill the bottles? Just started playing, I have umptee empty bottles and I have found the water pump but alas I cant seem to fill the bottles up

To fill bottles at a pump target the pump then press 'E' (same key as you use to collect items) you will then get a pop up window that allows you to select how many bottles to fill (same as when crafting)

Once you get enough materials (the amount of materials is very small to craft the water pump) together, build a water pump on your base island (I placed mine next to the barn) which you can then refill your water bottles with fresh water without having to venture out.

You can also use your crowbar to take up the one on the home island.. thats near the boat in the garden area.. just hit it a few times and it will be placed in your pack. Then take it back to your base and place where you want..
