For the record I am 43 hours into the game already... had my fair share of getting sidetracked rather than focusing on story progression.
Do you mean you're at Graceleaf Bay? Or are you still at Selvendys' Forest? If you're only at the latter, then yeah, that's barely that far in. If you're at the former, you're about half-way through the story. I'd know what you mean by a church, off the top of my head, if you were more specific, like which region you are on and what map/dungeon you were actually in.
It was a little side event where Kirito and Philia went on a sidequest hoping it unlocks a karma quest but it turns out to be not, then Kirito goes to ask Argo about karma quests, meanwhile creepy Laughing Coffin Guy creeps up on Philia, talks her into an existential crisis, then tells her to lure Kirito into a trap.
I guess I am halfway through then.
I was running around being distracted by Hollow Missions so much even the background music is chipping away my sanity bit by bit at this point..... Curse my tendency of getting swayed by side content!
