Hunting cows before cows unlocked

My game started with cows on the map, even though I hadn't quite unlocked the cows memory yet. I decided to see what happened if I tried to hunt them:

The building seems to allow the cows to be hunted, even though their icon is a black silhouette with a question mark. "I don't know what these mysterious creatures are, but they sure are good eating!"

After this I unlocked the cows memory and the icon got fixed.



Not sure if this is related or not, but when I was building that Big Game Hunter, there was also a visual glitch in its build time:

(The wooden sign shows the correct remaining time, and the building did finish construction on time.)
