Once the cat shows up though, I either have to re-enable raw meat consumption for *all* pips or just let the cat perpetually starve and take the hunger penalty. Neither option feels great.
Maybe pets like the cat should follow the animal consumption setting? Or perhaps add a new category for pets could be in order.
Food priority settings would also help - where you can give a priority number or otherwise sort food types to control what gets eaten first. Especially if things are smart enough to skip over food items they can't eat anyway.
What we should probably have now is a special food menu that controls what the pipfolk eat. It wouldn't have to be very big because most of the new folk have very limited diets.
I want to add more food controls down the road, in a future QOL update
So expect that for tomorrow's patch!
