Map Seeds?

Are maps completely randomized or is there a set list of maps that are cycled through? will we ever get the option to create maps or seeds?
As it is right now, i'm rerolling an awful lot of maps because I just don't see the first 20 days laid out without immediately struggling for space or resources.

There is a seeded logic, but no seed input is possible. I'd like to add that however for people that prefer a bit more control on their maps! The map generation is balanced to provide enough food depending on difficulty level, albeit some maps will be of course a bit better than others. Do take a look at tips on this forum as many people share their strategies!
