I hate when they eat raw meat that I can easily convert into freakin 7 cooked meat.
(My mental image is of the villager just eating a carrot right in front of the poor dying bunny.)
Here is how it works for now:
- Food is distributed so to try to equalize the numbers (i.e. if something is 32 and something else 30, 2 will be taken from the first source first)
- You can disable certain food for being selected
I would like to give more control, BUT keep that behind some advanced option.
Do post your requests and we'll see (bugfixes first, mind you)
I know that you can deselect foods for consumption. In most of my games I deselect all foods apart from a single main source (that might change multiple times in the course of the game, depending on the circumstances). I do it this way, because it makes planing much easier for me (I use raw vegetables for cooking or other buildings for example). But this approach is problematic as soon as you have animals that require foods, that you don't want to give your pips.
Like I said, my proposition is to make the food tab a sortable list and to add other checkboxes on top of that ("finish this first"-checkbox, or maybe different checkboxes for animals and pips, etc.). This would make food production less frustrating.
I'm looking forward to hear your ideas.
Thanks for your effort, if you keep polishing the game it might become my favourite game on steam.
1. Prioritized: The pips eat this food before anything else (Like berries or water which is always available and you dont need to save for winter.
2. Normal: Pips eat this as normal.
3. Deprioritized: Pips still eat this but but proportionally less than normal, for the food thats a bit more rare but you still want it in circulation
4. Forbidden: For raw food or food you are specificly saving for winter.
5. Elite food: Only elite villagers are allowed to eat this.
You are my hero.
I've been stockpiling a bunch of pumpkins for winter. During winter I researched and built the cauldron to help with the pumpkins lasting me through winter. However now I have 16 food consumption and only 9 Glop production. What I'd like is to use the 9 Glop and fill the remaining need from Pumpkins. However, if I enable Pumpkin for eating they fully eat Pumpkins and ignore the Glop, if I disable Pumpkin my pips go hungry.
