How do you purposely faceplant into the dirt?

Earlier a white robe came up to me and face planted into the dirt multiple times, again and again. It was very entertaining and funny. The way he was able to do it over and over told me it must be a keyboard shortcut. Anyone know it?

On keyboard: go straight for a moment and then press quickly S W S W. On gamepad same thing but with analog stick or alternatively do 360* with the stick and then tilt it down quickly or do 720* Look here for details: https://journey.gamepedia.com/Faceplant_(FP)

After playing for so many years since this came out of the PS3, this is still something I can't do including fancy fly/dive boost ;_;

I only know how to fall, maybe as you said.
Walk forward for some distance, then press the front and back direction keys alternately, and the character will fall.
It may take a few more attempts to succeed.

Doesn't work for me. I have one of those new "gaming keyboards" so maybe it's too fast do do the key strokes right.

Haha! I figured it out. on keyboards, W to walk forward let go then HOLD Shift and hit S W S W

Here is an easier way to do it. Turn up your sensitivity on your mouse and swing the camera around your character until they fall. It takes some practice but you'll get it. There are YouTube videos of it if it would help to look them up. :)
