It's really hard to meet other travelers.

I completed the whole game (from the beginning to the end) 3 times on Steam, and I met only 6 companions until now. On my last journey(the third one), I couldn't meet anyone.

Even my PC is connected to the Internet and there are over 1200 people are playing this game right now. We can check current players for this game on SteamDB.[steamdb.info]

I didn't disconnect my ethernet cable from my PC during the last journey.

The problem is, there's an achievement called 'Wonder - Meet 10 or more unique travelers.'

Only two achievements lefts for me. 'Wonder', and 'Return - Start the journey again after a week long break'.

Any solutions or ideas?

I wore a white robe, but I guess it's not a problem because I met a person while I was wearing a white robe. It's really weird.

You could try to play without the white robe - wearing the white robe makes you not meet ppl who are playing for the first time. I completed the game 3 times in red & 3 times in white - and I think I met double the ppl when playing with the red robe

Just stand in the place where you changed your robe to a white one - it'll make your robe red again

I wore a white robe, but I guess it's not a problem because I met a person while I was wearing a white robe. It's really weird.

So I just ran into 2 people (while i was in white robes)- first had a white robe second he was to far away and it was during the sand slide part so no idea if they were white as well

EDIt* - I ran into a red robe with my white and he had at least 1 playthrough like me

When I played this back on PS3 this was an issue, so for the 10 unique wear the red robes, white do lock you out of playing with people that haven't played through the story yet and will limit the players you meet. This said if you already have the white robes it's often better to play with the red robes to aid new players in finding all the scarf fragments. Some players, like myself, have put in many many hours in the PS3 version of this game and I'm glad to finally see it come to Steam.

How do you get the white robe again?

Find all the hidden symbols in the game. After that, you can choose what robe to wear in the hub area (at the level selection area, there is long white cloth sticking out of the ground, stand there and you can wear the white robe)

OK looks like that will be a long wait for me...... One of those symbols is very high up before you jump on the gate after the surfing bit I think you need two people to get that I haven't managed it at all on my own.

Doable on solo. After surfing a bit, just lean on the right side of the tunnel to get ready before falling down, and just glide towards the glyph/symbol. Fly a bit if you need to.

I read this thread earlier because I couldn't find people with the white robe and just wanted to say that switching to the red robe to find people works so great! I found people right away :3 sadly, my game crashed when I found an awesome person ;-;

I met white robes while donning the red robe, and vice versa. Seems to me it's purely RNG.

Also on consoles, in my experience fellow white robe prefer meeting new players. White robed players I meet tend to disappear after chirping a few times lol ;_;

Clearly a matchmaking bug on PC. I barely meet anyone online whether wearing red or white. And as previously mentioned by Szymciak, it has no incidence in the PS3/PS4 versions.
