And yes, its basically pokemon with monster girls. You can collect 50 of them all in all.
There is some relationship stuff involved, all the monster girls have 8 hearts you can "fill" by talking to them, giving them gifts, see their special events, playing the "rub2 minigame with them and such.
If you fill the hearts up all the way the monster girl is in "love" with you and you get a special scene but there are no girl specific endings or routes.
There is even an achievement for getting all 50 monster girls to max hearts "King of the Harem".
The whole game has a very lightearted tone , most dialogs are filled with jokes, innuendo and puns and the enemies have absolutly ridiculous designs. A serious story this is not .
Thanks for the reply.
All 50 have some little scenes and/or dialogue or just a handful of the main ones they showed on the trailer? Cause honestly, 50 different girls with dialogue, and/or scenes still counts for a decent amount of content relationship wise. Conception 2 used a similar gauge with Hearts for the same reason.
Any information on how the touch mini-game plays in? Sounds like it may only be used for catching and nothing else or is it also used for leveling/relationship stuff?
All the girls have their own dialog and scenes and personality. You get a scene with each girl at 1 heart which unlocks the costume change mechanic and then again at 4, 6 and 8 hearts ( i think). For the scenes to trigger you need not only the hearts filled but also certain conditions fullfilled. Like seeing certain events in the dungeon and such. You have a special NPC in the INN who can tell you which event you need to see next and where to find it. So you never can really miss anything if you use that NPC.
The rub minigame is used for 2 things, first you need to suceed at it after fighting a monster girl in a dungeon to "purify" her and make her join you. If you fail the minigame she runs away and you have to find and fight her again. Which is annoying.
You can also use the minigame for the girls while staying in the INN. If you suceed she get a few points to filling up her next heart. But those sessions cost "rub points" , which you get like EXP for winning fights. The higher the heart level of the girl the higher the cost of rub points to initiate a session. So you cant really max out a girl right away but only over the course of the game.
Awesome this was perfect. I think I will pick the game up I know I will probably get annoyed with the mini-game, but everything else sounds pretty good. Thank you for the information Ogami.
Yeah the controls for the minigame are not that great on pc, especially with gamepad.
Honestly, just look up a list of the weak points of each monster girl so you can get the "ecstasy gauge!" to max at first try and dont have to repeat the fight again.
Outside of battle you dont really need to use the minigame. It does not give much bonus points for the girls heart and gifts are much more effective. You later have so much money that you can buy the gifts in bulk so there is really no need to use the minigame.
So if you want to catch all 50 girls you need to play the minigame only 50 times during the whole game.
Unless you go for achievements, i think there is one for raising a girls heart with the minigame 500 times.
Which is a achievement i am sure i will skip. :P
This is exactly what I was thinking also from your description, that gifts and such would be my way around it outside of battles. Thanks for the heads up on the gauge also I will use that.
4.3gb, quick download.

It lists all their weak points for the minigame so you can easily win it the first try.
Awesome, thank you, GameFaqs had nothing. Any tips with using a controller or K/M during the mini-game? Does it have any issues registering clicks or anything? About 2-3mins left on download.
No its fine with controller, it just feels a bit sluggish.
BTW this game is the second Compile Heart game that is set in this world.
The other one is Monster Monpiece. I did not see it in your games list so maybe something you may like too. Monster Monpiece was the game which invented the rub mechanic.

I looked into it, and I couldn't get the same information I was looking for here. It seems like it is more collecting than dialogue/interaction with characters. I'll keep an eye for it when it is on sale. I'm not big into the rub mechanics they don't feel right, and they just aren't what I'm looking for exactly. I like the interactions, similar to games like Agarest War, Persona, Conception, or Visual Novels in general. Would you still recommend it for those reason? It having a rubbing mini-game wouldn't be a selling point for me.
Game is downloaded and ready to play. :) Thanks again for this information.
Well i would recommend Monster Monpiece if you like strategic trading card games. Because that is what it is. Its a linear story with you traveling the world, collecting monster girls as trading cards and using them in card duels to summon them as units on a board.
Its a fun little game ,the minigame is only used to "level up" your cards which will change the artwork ( loses more and more clothes) and raises the stats of the card.
But there is even a automatic function for it so you can just pay the price and the card will be leveled without needing the mini game. Its actually even more superfluous then in Moero Chronicles.
But its a fun game, during sales is mostly 75% off, for that is definitive a buy.
Well except if you hate card games.
