Are the bosses so easy now or am i too strong?
I finished the golden tower and got the light elemental and the bosses in there were literally not able to hit me with physical attacks because i dodged them all. I Was at level 45 at that point with the armor that can be bought in the golden city equipped. And on the mountain path to the sage i also can't be physically hit by the mobs anymore. Also the sage's trial boss (i try to avoid the spoiler with that description) wasn't able to hit me even once. It has been a while since i played the original game, but i don't remember that much dodging by the mobs and by my characters. Am i wrong? How are your experiences?

It has always been this easy.
Once you pass the 2 foxes in the forest you kind of have to put effort into wanting to die.

Yes, it is easy. Armor is a very powerful defense factor in this game. Sometimes I pick intentionally lower tier armor for an increased gameplay difficulty. You can also avoid using magic, items and/or weapon upgrades. It is possible to play and finish this game with just one character if you want the 'real' challenge.

Side note regarding the SNES version: Some modders created a "Hard SoM" mod. Just google it...

With lvl 45 you're definitly overleweled.

But SoM has never been difficult, so...

Level 45 at the Golden Tower? Wow, I have that after the Mana Palace...

But yeah, the game was never really difficult. Some of the earlier bosses seem easier now, though.

most if not all of the bosses are *significantly* easier, not just a little easier. as some describe it, they have little to no I-frames.

it used to be that you could only hit bosses so often, and at the right moments.

but now for most of them you can just hit them constantly.

on top of that, your companions take full advantage of this, and hit the bosses at every opportunity.

this problem is so severe that I suspect there are many bosses you can defeat without playing, just let your companions DPS them to death.

this is my single disappointment with the game. everything else I can ignore, but this is a huge disappointment.

the remake is way to easy, even if you dont use spells you just mow down these bosses with ease - the original was only easy if you spam them with magic though

I can tell you what the secret of mana is.. its OP to hell.. LOL! the SNES game was easy but this remake has made the bosses even weaker it seems.. the thing is.. once you level magic up the game becomes way too easy. I was killing bosses with magic in this remake between 3 to 6 casts.. even right up to just before Thanatos. I think he took around 8 to 10 magic casts to kill.

that was a problem with the original game, too. that was always the way SoM worked: melee is challenging, and magic makes it easy. but now, at least on bosses, melee makes it easy too.

I wouldn't mind if I could just mod the boss stats, but so far I can't find where they are.

I wonder how much of this is just the veteran player factor.

That said the werewolves waste time jumping around when they were deadly martial artists in the original.
