Item Descriptions

Has anybody figured out a way to get descriptions of what the various items do to display in the game itself.... Since I played the original version of the game I still have a vague memory of what each does such as the candy restoring 50 hp, and chocolate 250 hp but some of the items I have forgotten over time... such as what is the barrel used for ??

Also I hope that in a future patch they add a simple color indicator or a simple up / down arrow when you are on a piece of equipment to tell you if it is better then what you currently have equiped or not..

Unlikely since the original didn't have them. Generally: sweets restore hp, herbs restore status, cup rezes, nut restores mp, and armor - more expensive means better.

I want to say barrel either let's you take a few hits without damage or acts as a stealth mechanic, but I don't recall for sure, I never really used it.

they prolly will give it a sneaky patch though they may have ommited it assuming anyone who buys this has played the original

the barrel off by memory just makes enemies unable to hurt you while it lasts

When wearing a Barrel, the character can run through a dangerous area without harm, although fighting is not possible.

I think the values may have changed as i had a candy restore 100hp but here http://mana.wikia.com/wiki/Items_(Secret_of_Mana)
