You can use the keyboard and mouse still regardless of whether 2 controllers are plugged in since the game doesn't disable input from the keyboard/mouse when controllers are being used.
That is a solution... though not ideal if you don't have a 2nd controller.
I know you said you can't use a controller, but that is the only way at the moment. There has to be two controllers plugged in, and no keyboard.
I don't think anyone has tried 2 keyboards, that might work too.
But if it's having to hold on to it, you could try an arcade stick controller, something you can set on your lap or a table.
Anyone got a direct E-Mail for Square Enix? I am sick of this, this day and age and still games get released that bugged with controls and sometimes even NO custom controls at all! It's not about preference, it's about being ABLE to play AT ALL as a cripple!
