Can't play with a friend with Keyboard and gamepad?

Hello.

I tried using Parsec to play online Coop which works great but... You can't play with Keyboard AND Gamepad? When my Buddy joins with Gamepad he can move, but when i use the Keyboard it mirrors everything. I control BOTH then... I NEED Keyboard since i am severely handicapped. Can you help?

The game seems to reserve keyboard and first controller for player 1. Have to use a second controller for player 2. No idea about the online with a 3rd party app.

Trying to think of how to help you with this but here's my idea. If you have 2 controllers, plug them both in and give your friend the 2nd controller.

You can use the keyboard and mouse still regardless of whether 2 controllers are plugged in since the game doesn't disable input from the keyboard/mouse when controllers are being used.

That is a solution... though not ideal if you don't have a 2nd controller.

We tried plugging in TWO Gamepads. Keyboard still moves BOTH. Mirrors everything. He can move with his Gamepad but as as i move with Keyboard his Char moves too... And i physically can't use a Controller.

i tried some ways to play with a friend and the only way it works is with 2 controllers. with keyboard and controller or 2 keyboards you can move 1st and 2nd player with one of them at the same time.

I know you said you can't use a controller, but that is the only way at the moment. There has to be two controllers plugged in, and no keyboard.

I don't think anyone has tried 2 keyboards, that might work too.

I have tried for awhile now to find a way around this, and there just doesn't seem to be any thing. Two keyboards does not work either. It seems that the game registers the keyboard as an alternative for controllers so as 1 player you can use either but with 2 controllers the game views the keyboard as an alternative for both making both characters move. I also borrowed a third controller from a friend and tried ti so that it registered players 1 and 3 while unplugging the 2nd controller, however the problem persists.

And knowing Square Enix they won't fix it. Who cares if a handicapped guy can play their game...

what's preventing you from using a controller, just curious? you know there are many controllers out there in different shapes and configurations. Usually a keyboard is considered more straining on the hands than a controller.

But if it's having to hold on to it, you could try an arcade stick controller, something you can set on your lap or a table.

Nice idea! Sadly not working for me. I don't have the grip strenght to hold a controller. Just a strick won't work either. I can't move my arms and my hands only tiny bit. I drive my electric wheelchair to the table until my left hand(the weakest) is laying on arrow keys since theres room for my fingers to grip around and use neighbouring keys.

Isn't it standard for Co-op games on PC to play them with 1gamepad and 1keyboard?!?! at least the few i played b4...

Exactly... But it's coded so bad. Keyboard moves EVERY Char at once? WHY? What could would that EVER do?

Anyone got a direct E-Mail for Square Enix? I am sick of this, this day and age and still games get released that bugged with controls and sometimes even NO custom controls at all! It's not about preference, it's about being ABLE to play AT ALL as a cripple!

It's not only annoying for handicapped ppl but also for me who bought a fac new SNES Controller for this game, just to realize you cant play it with it the moment the girl is joining you...
