So it is highly unlikely that Secret of Evermore will get a remake. The Seiken Densetsu, or Mana series is also suffers from a strange marketing practises of early Squaresoft. The First Seiken Densetsu game release on the game Boy, and was renamed Final Fantasy Adventure, to make it more marketable. The Second game in the Series was named Secret of Mana, the third game was never released as far as I know.
Jeremey Soule, who did the music for Skyrim, Oblivion, Marrowind and Neverwinter Nights, started on Secret of Evermore.
this game deserves remake, I will pay $$$ support this remake!
It's the same NA dvision that went down after the huge failure that was the Final Fantasy movie.
Also, one of the lead sound designers is signed on with other projects -- To even make Evermore remaster a reality would be an attempt of outright futility, I'm afraid. The team responsible for SoE have scattered since the NA office became no more.
One can dream, though.
They don't need the old team to develop just good gamedevelopers, this game is not huge old games are made with 4 or 8 men team new games are made by 100 men team.
example zelda 64 is made with four men
