Would be awesome to get a Secret of Evermore remake.
But I hope they fix the issue with weapon grinding. It was a pain in the original game.

This one and Terranigma. Both are awesome games, which deserve a remaster or remake.

That game has nothing to do with Secret of Mana.

Other than the fact that both have very similar game mechanics, and both being developed by Square.

It was developed by Square USA, Japan had nothing to do with it. Wasn't even released there.

Well then, this is a great oppurtunity for Japan to see what they missed, ya?

I could support a return for Evermore - some good music, and it was pleasantly cheesey XD

I actually would also love to see a return of the entire Actraiser saga, come to that (well, minus Actraiser 2...that game needs a Lot of work XD), including Terranigma.

I'm all for it, but we'll never see that or Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions on Steam. Square doesn't care about its customers.

You're most likely right, best case scenario is that we get a crappy mobile port, that doesn't fix the weapon leveling in the game.
actually my only problem in the original game was the finite supply of certain alchemy ingredients, which made the asscociated spells "too awesome to use", along with the finite supply of call beads, which again meant you basically never used those abiltiies, making it a wasted feature.

Square are remaking the Seiken Densetsu games.
Secret of Mana is Seiken Densetsu 2
The first one who was originaly a Game Boy game was remade 2 years ago or so on IOS and Android.
The next remake should be Seiken Densetsu 3, then Legend of Mana (in chronological order).

Secret of Evermore have no ties to Seiken Densetsu, and it was never made by the japanese teams that worked on the Seiken Densetsu franchise.
Secret of Evermore is a american game that was NEVER released in japan and borrowed "Secret" to appeal to the audiance of Seiken Densetsu 2 AKA Secret of Mana.

Though, may be they will consider it at some point and remake Secret of Evermore, you never know, but i doubt that it will comes before Seiken Densetsu 3.

To be more accurate:

Seiken Densetsu 1 was released in the US as Final Fantasy Adventure (To help sell it since the FF name was known. The game does have Chocobos though I'm not sure if they actually originated here instead of FF? Never played the first FF).

Many years later, a remake of the game was released on GBA as Sword of Mana, where it was established to people less in the know about JP stuff that Secret of Mana was actually the second game in a series. This remake added in an interface and magic system closer to that of Secret than the original game.

THEN much later after that we got the iOS/android remakes you're referring to.

Personnally, while the last IOS/android is more faithful to the original, i prefer the GBA remake by a long shot, since it was made by the team behind Legend of Mana and they have a great touch.
I played the crap out of FFA, and while Sword takes some liberties, the story is largely the same and I liked the inclusion of Secret of Mana elements.

If we are asking for SNES remakes. The ones that come to mind are. :)
1) Legend of Zelda : A Link To The Past
2) The "Ogre Battle" Series
3) Metal Marines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXIfG5DSA04
4) SimAnt
5) Front Mission
6) Donkey Kong Country,
7) Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

About what some one else said about Planned remakes. I really hope they do make a remake for "Seiken Densetsu 3 / Secret of Mana 2" . Which is the same game. But by different names.

well secret of mana 2 the name doesn't technically exist because the game was never released in the US. I'm not sure if it was *announced* or not. I think it might have been hinted at in nintendo power or some other magazine but it just never made it here.
