Seriously Squeenix can you give us a proper port/remake of your classics, especially since it looks like the Steam version of FF3/4 which are DS remakes but upscaled. And don't get me started on FF5/6

I am seriously disapointed by modern SE... not wanting to rant but they are capable of making a true remake/remaster of their classics

Modern SE is following the big and hated companies like EA. Max prices for minimum effort as possible, like Dissidia NT $90 ($60 + $30 season pass) and no single player content.

same here but i bought it because i love the game

look at final fantasty 6... we got a nasty tablet port and not the proper version.. if there was an option to switch i would have bought it in a heart beat, but the game looks nasty :(

I wouldn't even mind if they just did like Capcom by releasing an emulated version of their first 6 games (at a good framerate and without glitches indeed) in an anthology collection

Why would they bundle the original SNES version in when they know it is widely available for emulation just about everywhere you go?

Not only is it available for emulation, there are also fan-translated versions that are available as ROMs too. Kinda seems silly to devote resources into fixing and re-packaging something that wouldn't be such a big selling point because everybody and their brother who wants it already has it for free.

And I'd have to stand by what I've been saying, even moreso after seeing that newest gameplay video: the character models are even better than I thought they were, and after seeing the fluidity of the animations, I'd have to say that yes, the game is more than good enough for me personally.

And I wouldn't compare it to the emulated mobile ports of the FF games -- the character models in SoM are far better than those. Go look up some screenshots of FF3 or FF4 for example and compare them to the screenshots you find on the store page for SoM. You should be able to notice a stark difference in quality.

Nope. They already released a version sort of like this for mobile, so they probably wanted something really different. I'd have paid a little more if it included a "switch to original" version. xD

I've seen screenshots and short video clips of the mobile port... it was just a regular port from SNES to mobile with a few touchups. It was not a full 3D re-work.

Sdaly not, ... but it´s nintendo´s fault. It´s extremely dificult to get games from the cartridge era to other systems. Nintendo doesn´t allow ports to other systems due a exclusivity rule puplishing on Nintendo systems that days, unless to another Nintendo system.
This is why those games are remakes, or having remade parts like sprites. By this they aren´t the identical game, and so the rule doesn´t apply. SoM on android has well done remade sprites, and the mininmap is actually using this version for it.
