What a pity :(
going through your list, in 22 hours of play the ones I've encountered are:
(honestly your list is super-contrived)
- slide glitch (players cant attack anymore - best for bossfights)
once, supposed to be fixed in upcoming patch
- hit detection at stairs not working at all
k, yeah, this one is annoying
- only 2 hotkeys (every controller has way more buttons now.)
yeah, that could be better
- changes in the stats system/ balence issues (miss, miss, miss /1hit kills)
the only one I know of is the bosses being easier
- LOADS of missed chances, to actually make the game better
describes every game ever, even the best games ever made
everything else I either never experienced or is too contrived to comment on
Also.. they're huge open world games with a lot more room for problems to occur. Secret of Mana is a decidedly smaller/simpler game by comparison.
I agree with the list. I've seen a lot of the same bugs you listed and so far no new ones.
I agree that the game in its current state with all the bugs is not worth the $40. I've seen better from Square Enix and you'd think they'd be able to get basic things like game crashes and controller support taken care of for a price like that.
Given all the games they've already ported to PC, you'd think they'd have certain things like these down to a science. I'm pretty disapointed in them right now, especially given that they dropped the ball on a game that I loved back in the SNES days.
I guess we'll see how many of these bugs they fix when they release the patch in March.
1. Right after the girl (temporarily) joined my party I got stuck in a sliding animation before I existed the castle. Resolved on a screen transition.
2. In five hours of play my file apparently tells me I've been playing for 1197 hours. That's a ... curious bug.
3. Sprite Grandpa is too chatty. No seriously I got stuck on him constantly restarting his dialogue to restore you and save the monent we finish talking. Had to save and force close/restart the game.
Thankfully no crashes or peformance related problems to speak of. The speed at which GP is acquired and boss difficulty aren't very appealing to me though. I'm going to be too wealthy with next to no grind. I didn't use a single healing item on bosses before I got Undine.
The rest of this either never happens to me or is plainly mimimi on a high lvl (ONLY 2 HOTKEYS OMFG!!!) Some of this systems are actually very clse to the original, like that mobs take hits later or that staircase stuff.
You should be glad that they even introduced 2 hotkeys instead of 0 :D
Also one thing that i noticed is, that there is no steam-cloud for the game... which sucks since i usally play though 2 locations
