Btw. There´s no cheats for orbs atm. . Would be to easy and low.
Analyzer on chests works, had no idea you could do that
Got a Spear Orb and Vampire Cloak within minutes
I wonder if they fixed the glitch that made it possible to upgrade the sword to the final level (which is normally only granted by the mana magic)
Yes, they did, no more glitching your 9th orb that way.
It's possible to upgrade the sword. if you can get a 9th orb....
....
....
Which you can't
Analyze disarms the traps now. So immediately cast it.
Me and my friend 100%ed this game, both of our PTs took 40 hours.
For the Mana Fortress here is how I approached each enemy:
Metal Crab: First room has 2 with a Whimper. Reroll south for a Fiend Head or north for a Tsunami. Use the Whip to cross the chasm.
Whimper: First room or the final room before Dark Lich has 1 and 2 Tsunami. Just dont step on the green button. You can reroll into 3 Mace Menace if you do the final room. On the 2F, there is a room with crystals on a dead end (go south of the Wofl Lord at the Whip Chasm). This one is good because north of this room is 2 Fiend Heads. Either farm it in the first room or the 2F while doing the Fiend Heads.
Wolf Lord: On the 3F, there is a room with 2 of them in a room with a Whimper in the middle you cannot access. If you take this from the north, immediately fight one off and fire a spell at the other. Going north can reroll 2 Mace Menace and a Metal Crab. Going south lets you take a Tsunami and a Fiend Head on a bridge. Prioritize your reroll on what enemy you need. You need 2 orbs.
Mace Menace: 3F. You can either go north of the Wolf Lords if you want a shot at Gloves or save it for the 2nd last room and with a Sword and Axe in hand, you can add 3 Master Ninjas. Reroll either into 2 Tsunami and a Whimper to the Left or Fiend Head and a Tsunami. You will need a Level 7 non-Lumine element to OHKO them as Lucid Barrier is a nuisance and they have high armor.
Master Ninja: 3F. You can either farm them at the 2nd last rectangle room with 2 of htem and a Fiend Head or save it for the 2nd last room where you find the 3 Mace Menace. If you have a Sword or Axe, you can do both these and the Menace. Reroll either into 2 Tsunami and a Whimper to the Left or Fiend Head and a Tsunami. You will need a Level 7 non-Lumine element to OHKO them as Lucid Barrier is a nuisance and they have high armor.
Tsunami: There are only 2 rooms with 2. The final room, but you cannot step on the green square and the room with the lone Basilisk has 2 easy ones, but you gotta put up with an annoying Marmablue and you will need to slay at least 1 enemy for the 2nd Tsunami to approach. Bring ranged weapons.I would suggest farming this while you do Wolf Lord, Master Ninja or Mace Menace.
Fiend Head. If you have a Sword or Axe equipped, the dead end n the 2F has 2 Fiend Heads in the same room. You will need to cut through a crystal wall to get to the other. If you reroll from the Left you can walk into a Whimper. If you go Right, there is a Tsunami behind crystals you can try. Try to mix this monster in with any of the above as you need to get 2 Orbs from this monster. Note that this enemy is the only enemy with 4 digit health, so a Sprite 7-8 won't OHKO.
There are other rooms that also work, but it is totally up to you. These suggestions are my personal ideas factoring in primarily efficiency. Once you are done, get all your spells to 8, upgrade all your weapons, do the Flammie achievement (Grindy Achivements has the map list) and then slay the final boss when you have 2 entries in the Guide Book left.
Traps do appear in SD3 if your level is >= than them. Luck just determines how many OKs can appear. Then again, Traps in SD3 weren't as awful. The best trap to get was the Ogre Box.
At D03A50 is the chest table. There is one entry for each of the 84 enemy types. Each entry consists of five bytes. The first byte indicates the chance that a chest appears, in 64ths. The second byte has two nibbles. The lowest nibble is the necessary level of the Analyze spell that will disarm the trap. The highest nibble tells if you can escape the trap. The player's agility must be more than eight times that value, otherwise the trap will be triggered half the time. Bit 3 through 5 of the third byte indicates the rare item rate, in 64ths. If the top two bits equal 0, then the chest contains money. If they equal 1, then the chest contains an item. If they equal 2, the common item is money and the rare item is an item. If they equal 3, the common item is an item and the rare item is money. The fourth byte indicates the common item or money amount, and the fifth byte indicates the rare item or money amount.
--------------
Some enemies, like the fishes, do not drop treasures at all For all others applies a loot table:
- There is always a common and a rare treasure, consisting of two of the following: Item, GP, equipment, weapon orb (the orb becomes a candy if no more orbs of that type can be obtained)
- There are 0-3 traps within the table, notice that mimic box and shadow zero are considered as traps
If a treasure is on screen:
1. Checks if the enemy has a trap within its loot table, otherwise proceed to 4.
2. Checks for the Lv of the char who opens it. If it is at least 3 levels higher than the enemy's, no treasure will appear - the higher your Lv, the less it will be a trap
3. If there are different traps on the table, one is chosen randomly
4. If there are no traps or you are lucky enough, the item is rolled (probabilities always: common 88%, rare 12%)
