Agreed, I was surprised when I watched the video and saw this change, I am even more surprised I wasn't the only one to care.
Each time its translated in another way.... well that not a big deal.
Each time its a new game though, this is a remake of the old game and they just up and said kids wont be able to assimilate this kind of text, better have an old man talking over the iconic music and lets just change this last bit here for nor eal reason.
I'll just stick with the SNES version. Thank you for saving me $40.00.
Damn... Listening to it a second time, it sounds like he's not all into the story or really terrified of what's to come. The whole planet is terrified of the Mana Fortress.
Decades later and with a luxury of resources, good Square remakes are still a fluke because the company has no idea what it's doing, or what it ever did. People can't even convince Square to stop investing in NFT scams long after the market collapsed. It won't even repeat good history, mostly inventing new ways to screw up.
