Please throw out that minimap

I don't even have the slightest idea what that thing is supposed to do for the player. It's just hideous. If not removing it entirely, give us an option at least. Please?

I don't think it's a mini map. It's a comparison window, I believe.

Isn't the minimap's point to guide the player through areas and dungeons, etc? Though I do not think such a minimap existed in the original games and I do not think one was ever needed.

No, a mini map did not exist in the old game. Besides, even if it was a mini map, it'd be ridiculous that they include it and not have a toggle feature.

(I still think its a comparison window for our benefit xD)

I do not think that is a comparison. Look at the circles, this is to point where character is. It IS a minimap system, probably to add a "feature" of modern nature to the game. It's not needed, tho.

Hmm, well, if it is I hope you can toggle it off. I don't mind the feature and I may need it (maybe) but it would annoy me that part of my screen is taken up by something like that...

The game will only release in like 6 months. Hopefully there IS a toggle feature to it by then.

Well, to be fair, they ARE showing us "previews" months ahead of time. if any feedback needs to be done, it's now or never while they are actually working on it. A toggle shouldn't be hard.

I think it's a dev build type of thing. It doesn't really have any map features. Seems more like a tool to see how the graphical remake maps onto the old game. This might mean the game is more of a reskin and gameplay will remain largely unaffected, but that is fine with me.

On the Blog where this information was first announced, they said we would get to see more gameplay and more of the game at PAX! September 1st-4th at both the Square Enix booth and the PlayStation booth!

Also, the article makes it sound like the local co-op is for the Vita and PS4, which makes me wonder how it'll be different for the PC. I really hope we'll have two options, online and local, but it probably makes more sense that they are only doing local. :(
