Just a frustrating waste of time

Just spent an hour on the first boss alone. It's just to frustrating to enjoy. It tries to act like a quirky indie title but it's just hell in pixels. The difficulty is just so off putting I don't want to play this game anymore. Nor do I want to play any of the devs other games including the sequel. Surely they could've put in either a checkpoint system or you take two hits and then sends you back to the beginning. AVGN was understandably hard due to it mocking hard 8 bit games but this game just makes itself difficult soley to annoy you.

Sequel is easier, give it a shot. Has checkpoints, and you can switch the difficulty on a single level without losing overall game progress. I played the sequel first and then got this one because I loved it so much. I'm finding this much more difficult/enraging.

It's definitely difficult... and frustrating... but worth it in my opinion. It definitely is easier in Runner2, give that a try :)

The sequel is extremely easy, to the point of almost being boring. Where this game involves a lot of trial and error, tricky jumps and possibly a lot of memorization, the 2nd lets you get away with anything. For example, there's no "gold right past a step or rock that you can't collect unless you JUMP into it from an early position", you don't need to time your jumps for any of the spring pads and for the most part there are no tricky moves (just in a few places). Even though it adds slide-jumping and slide-kicking it really doesn't make the game harder. But if you like this type of game it's worth checking out, as it's pretty fun the first time through (I'd suggest playing on the hardest difficulty though).

But yeah this game is hard as balls, and really unfair in a lot of places.

I finally destroyed that first boss and I've just cruised to nearly beating the 2nd load of levels. Why on earth would you make the first the hardest? It's just off putting. Have been looking at the second game but waiting for it to come on sale. £10 just seems a bit to expensive for a running game.

I stucked at the level 3-11 and I am really upset. I beat some really challenging games for 100% but this stage is annoying. I wish I could just play the final boss but I have to beat this level. I guess I will take a break from this game

unless you are playing in hard, the game is really easy

This game made me scream for 10 minutes straight, but its so addicting that i keep playing for hours

3-11 is unbeatable for me too and the problem is also, it is a really long level i mean if you die almost in the end then you will smash the nearest thing that comes in your hands :D.

I'm playing on the default, normal. As I was getting used to the game mechanics, I had some hang-ups going through the first set of levels. Then I cruised through the second set without too much trouble. The third set ramps up the difficulty and level length considerably. I found the challenge/frustration ratio mostly tolerable until 3-9. From there on it is hell. I'm currently on the last boss. The only reason I'm still playing is because I'm so close to the end. If I do complete it, it will be a relief. I will be glad that there are no more levels.

Is very difficult the game but very fun when you completed all the levels.
The second game is easy, but very fun.
