my Bit.Trip Runner wont start help

so i would play this game somtimes before and it was fine but now when i press start on steam nothing happens i went in the local files for the game and tried to start the game (Runner.exe) but an error message poped up saying "the program can't start because OpenAL32.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." ive tried reinstalling it multiple times but nothing worked i also went to the properties for the game and went to the betas tap and i was listed as none for betas i thought this was the problem and so i changed it to the only other option and it had a download after the download my Bit.Trip Runner seems to have no change at all please help me fix this i am running windows

from old topic on steam forum. worked for me:
"go to program files/steam/steamapps/common/bit.trip.runner/dependencies/ and run oalinst.exe
This will reinstall your openAL32.dll correctly and the game should start..."
