I do not understand your point...
Here you just turn around and the ball will follow you everywhere...
In the old Sensible Soccer you need to push the ball like football with the correct timing when it touches your feet....that way you require a minimum skill to drive the ball, and also using that mechanic to dribble between oponents..the result was amazing...
here you do not need to do anything..the ball is magically sticked to the player. :(
It's an understandable development decision to make Sociable Soccer not so challenging in that respect. As an old Sensible Soccer player, I still think the new gameplay is going to the right direction. Looking forward to next updates, crossed fingers.
I used to play Sensi and Kick Off on the Amiga and they were both in my favourite games ever because of the ball handling.
I had the same feeling when I bought this and played my first game.
But it's a work in progress so hopefuly gets a bit more skill involved in the future.
In the meantime I've been playing Kick Off Revival (been out on steam for a few months) - it's so bare-bones that it should be early access but, man, the control's are the best I've ever played in a football game.
It takes forever to get good at it so maybe not good for widespread appeal - might be why they've dumbed down the controls on Sociable - attract the FIFA crowd?
Anyway, if this ends up with controls half as good as KOR then I'm looking forward to it.
I think it would be good if you had the old sensi ball control when your players sprint with the ball. on the old game, when i didnt control the ball right and got away with it, it looked like you were dummying the defender...
what ive played so far though has been excellent, cant wait to see what the finished game looks like.
